We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team. in our28-bedded specialist acute and psychiatric intensive care service for female patients.
We offer individualised care packages for patients. We specialise in managing behaviours that lead to distress, which is supported by a strong team of psychologists and occupational therapists. Our multidisciplinary team specialises in positive behavioural support planning, to help patients in managing and developing new strategies to improve their distress and trauma.
Ward 1
10-bedded psychiatric intensive care unit for females of working age. The ward is proficient at nursing patients in a severe phase of their mental health illness and it integrates current best practice to promote recovery.
Our multidisciplinary team has vast experience in managing high levels of patient distress, which allows our ward to admit from vast clinical settings including other mental health inpatients wards, and accident and emergency departments.
Ward 2
9-bedded acute service which provides treatment for females of working age. Barton Ward's aim is to act as an extension to NHS care pathways during times of fluctuating capacity and flow. This allows more people to receive care and treatment, continuity of care and allow for minimum disruption to patients and their loved ones.
Barton Ward works collaboratively with family/carers and a host of CCGs, to strive for minimum lengths of hospital stays, with the aim of discharge into the community when possible.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist at this private hospital. The hospital provides female adult Acute and PICU inpatient services, delivered in partnership with our NHS partners. We now have a full time Consultant vacancy to cover the 10 bedded Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This may be subject to future change depending on the service needs of the site and skills set of the medical workforce at the time. The site receives support from an experienced Specialty Doctor The services accepts admissions 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
We seek to appoint a highly-motivated Consultant Psychiatrist to complement our existing medical work force. The successful candidate will be joining an expanding and clinically diverse in our hospital Group North Region
Requirements
Medical degree with a valid licence to practice as a psychiatrist.
Completion of specialist training in psychiatry,
Proven experience in providing patient care within a psychiatric setting.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
Empathy and understanding towards patients' needs, particularly those of children.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
