Consultant Psychiatrist - Private - Up to 170,000 - Learning Disability
Overview
We are looking to recruit a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the team on learning disability ward. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours for a private Hospital located in South Norfolk, close to the Suffolk border and in the beautiful Waveney Valley. The hospital provides specialist care to patients with a learning disability, with mental health needs, behaviours that challenge or offending behaviours. The setting includes low secure beds and an exciting newly opened locked rehabilitation service.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
Provide expert clinical care as a Responsible Clinician, supported by an on-site senior management team.

Hold current CCT or CESR qualifications and approved clinician status.
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Requirements

CCT or CESR in psychiatry of learning disability
Approved Clinician status, and experience in managing complex clinical presentations within this patient group.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a compassionate and patient-centred approach, and the ability to work collaboratively within a well-established multidisciplinary team.
An understanding of positive risk-taking, restrictive practice, and recovery-focused care is essential.
Participation in the 2nd on-call rota is required (non-residential with a low contact rate)
