There is an exciting opportunity within the North London NHS Foundation Trust (NLFT) for a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Community Services in Enfield. The role offered is that of a Consultant in The Enfield North Locality Team covering one of the Community General Adult Teams in the London Borough of Enfield. Thispost is awaiting approval by the Royal College of Psychiatrist - submitted for approval on 05.12.2024.Interviews will be scheduled within 3-4 weeks of the advert closing.Main duties of the jobThis post offers 10 Programmed Activities per week - 7.5 PAs for direct clinical care (DCC) and up to 2.5 PAs for supporting professional activity (SPA). The post holder will be required to provide clinical and professional leadership and to take part in related management activities.   • Within six months of obtaining a CCT or on the GMC Specialist Register
  • Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent
  • Training and experience in General Adult Psychiatry
  • Full GMC Registration
  • Section 12 Approved and an Approved Clinician
  • Registered for the Continuing Professional Development Programme in the Royal College of Psychiatrists
  • Training in the full range of effective therapeutic techniques to include Psychoeducation, medication and Psychological Therapies including MBT
  • Membership of a Medical Defense Union
  • Medical students, psychiatric trainees and other NHS Staff (teaching)
Desirable
  • Experience of working in Community
  • A special interest in and/or further training in a model of psychological therapy
  • Teaching (Experience in Teaching)
  • Ability to use a wide range of teaching techniques and audio-visual aids
