As we expand, we're seeking an experienced

UK-qualified solicitor

to act as a

freelance consultant

--providing expert advice on complex wills and related legal matters, and later

signing off on Qualifying Work Experience (QWE)

for the aspiring solicitor within our business.

Role Overview

This is a

flexible, remote consultancy position

ideal for a solicitor looking to mentor and collaborate with a small business in a low-pressure, ethical, and client-focused environment.

You will:

Provide expert legal advice on complex wills, trusts, and probate issues. Review and supervise legal documents prepared for clients. Ensure compliance with UK legal and regulatory requirements in wills and estate planning. Act as a

QWE supervisor

after one year, confirming qualifying work experience in accordance with the SRA's requirements.

Requirements

Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)

with a current practising certificate. Experience in

wills, trusts, probate, or private client law

. Willingness to work with a

small business

in a flexible freelance capacity. Supportive, mentoring attitude and interest in professional development. Comfortable working remotely and communicating online.
