This evolving and innovative field of medicine treats the symptoms of hormone deficiency by mimicking the effects of natural hormone production. Our clinician-led treatment pathway uses unique and tailor-made bioidentical hormones as well as licensed medicines to treat symptoms of low or imbalanced hormones in both men and women.

The Role
As BioID Health is a remote medical service, the Consulting Doctor role is a remote, working from home position. The successful candidate must ensure that they have a suitable environment for consulting with patients and working from home permanently.
We are looking for an engaged, enthusiastic, and empathetic Consulting Doctor to deliver our vision and strategy as part of our remote service. Our doctors consult with patients from the beginning of their hormone treatment journey from first enquiry through to treatment consultations. They provide ongoing support to patients, providing advice, ensuring patients are safe and tolerating prescribed hormones and continuing their prescription. Our doctors also provide support and advice to our team of nurse prescribers on more complex patient cases and clinical queries.
Reporting to the Medical Directors, our doctors also provide input and ideas for further developing our processes and services, enabling BioID Health to provide safe, effective care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Complete a daily clinic of patient consultations to begin, monitor and support their hormone treatment.
Complete a full and comprehensive consultation with new patients to assess suitability for hormone treatment.
Review patient blood results to determine hormone prescription.
Prescribe suitable medications following our established protocols and procedures.
Be confident in explaining the benefits of treatment and the patient programmes most suitable for them.
Provide guidance, support, and follow-up to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
Support the team in responding to enquiries regarding treatment.
Prescribe patients ongoing prescription hormone and supplement treatment. Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and safety in all aspects of patient care.
Facilitate the patient experience during their hormone treatment.
Work with the rest of the medical team to develop bespoke patient treatment plans.
Take part in multi-disciplinary meetings regarding patients care and progress.
Support the team of nurse prescribers with managing patient cases and responding to clinical queries.
Review more complex patients who are not achieving full symptomatic control as a senior second line opinion.
Be accountable to the KPIs assigned to the role.
Keep up to date with professional research and share best practices with the team to support the company ethos and continued professional development.
Attend all compulsory training, CPD and standardisation events.
Complete regulatory audit requirements.
Take a proactive approach to Quality Improvement Activities to ensure delivery of high-quality patient care.
Be able to work in professional isolation under your own initiative as well as part of a team.
Be flexible with working hours.
Be able to attend in person meetings as required by the Company.

Time management skills - be able to run a busy clinic of patient consultations and appropriately manage time spent with each patient.
Computer skills - we utilise technology to improve our service, so this means you will need to be familiar and comfortable working with Windows based computer systems, including the Microsoft Office suite. We use a bespoke diary management system and several online services, so knowing how to navigate a computer is a must.
Experience of working as a doctor in the private sector is an advantage.
Requirements
Fully registered doctor on the GMC Register.
Worked as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
We operate seven days per week which means that some evening and weekend availability will be required
