We are seeking compassionate and responsible individuals to join our team as
Supervised Contact Workers
on a self-employed / sessional basis. In this role, you will facilitate and oversee supervised contact sessions between children and family members parents in a safe and supportive environment. The role will start with a few sessions and gradually increase to a capacity that suits your availability and location in and around the Leeds / Bradford and surrounding areas.

Key availability times:
Evenings (3:00 to 6:00) and weekends are the times we most need workers to be available.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate and monitor supervised contact sessions between children and their non-resident parents / relations, ensuring the safety and well-being of the child at all times.
Observe interactions and provide guidance to ensure a positive experience for the child.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of each session, documenting any significant observations and interactions.
Provide a neutral and professional presence during contact, managing challenging situations with diplomacy and sensitivity.
Report any concerns or safeguarding issues to relevant supervisors or authorities.
Work in a variety of settings, including contact rooms, community venues, and outdoor locations.
Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of your role.
Essential Requirements:
DBS Check
: You must hold a valid and up-to-date Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
Relevant Professional Background
: Experience
working with children, families
, or in social care, education, nursing or mental health fields are highly desirable.
Transferable Skills
: Strong interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, and the ability to manage sensitive situations are essential.
Flexibility
: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, to accommodate the needs of families.
Communication Skills
: Strong
verbal
and
written communication
skills to liaise effectively with families, professionals, and colleagues.
Safeguarding Knowledge
: Understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
Valid Driving license
