Job Description

We are a multi-award winning international content marketing agency and deliver the best-in-class content marketing campaigns for more than 8000 clients around the globe. At Mediaplanet each year we develop over 900 themed campaigns in 11 languages within key verticals: health, technology, business and cause. Due to an internal promotion we are looking for a Content Editor to join our UK and Ireland team to work on both print and digital content. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, high quality output, initiative, excellent proof reading skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise content for over twenty campaigns each quarter. Reporting to the Head of Print and working closely with a Designer responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the quality of the content commissioned by the wider office, editing content, approving final drafts, checking source credibility, editorial tone, topic angle and content style.
  • Ensuring content is suitable for print and digital audiences, manage word counts and be able to provide well written headlines, intros and subheadings when needed.
  • Occasionally required to rewrite or help create content.
  • Edit all content to bring into house style with efficiency.
  • Upload campaigns to Napoleon for day of launch.
  • Be able to meticulously proofread and understand the implications of publishing content with errors.
  • Commission content with external journalists and the sales team under the guidance of Head of Print and Design.
  • Provide and update content related workflow resources for the sales team.
  • Help train the sales team in creating quality content, content marketing, building article briefs, optimising tone for reader engagement as well as how to achieve tight turnarounds in order to hit key print deadlines.
  • Develop campaign research to help the sales team to enhance their campaign.
  • Commercially prioritise workload.
  • Learn and understand emerging trends in content marketing.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 2+ years experience in a similar role.
  • Attention to detail and high-quality content output.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • The ability to synthesise materials from multiple sources and edit content within tight deadlines.
  • Keen to assume ownership of all given processes and tasks.
  • A solution orientated approach to tasks and the office culture.
  • Abitily to work collaboratively with a team player mentality, be self driven and have a social nature.
Salary: £25k per annum We offer flexible working and operate under a 1-2 days in the office each week. In addition we host "town halls" each month to celebrate the successes and get together as a full team in the office.
