Overview of Department
Baillie Gifford's business depends on providing our clients with first class investment performance and client service. The Clients Department is responsible for liaising with existing clients and trying to attract potential new clients which then allows our investors to focus on investing. It is the Clients Department who are the main interface between clients and Baillie Gifford.
The Clients Department functions as various business units working together to provide our clients with the highest possible level of customer service. The Client and Marketing Services area sits within the Clients Department and is responsible for the production of a range of marketing and client content and data for prospective and existing clients.
The team is responsible for producing and managing Insights content for the Clients Department, ensuring consistency of both message and style.
Purpose of Role
The Client and Marketing Insights Management team is responsible for Insights production and content management for the Clients Department, ensuring consistency of both message and style.
We are a dedicated resource partnering with the business to help with content planning, creation, and distribution. Each member of the team is strategy aligned and supports a part of a regional business unit. We work closely with colleagues responsible for the website, events, social media, film production and marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities
Production, curation and delivery of content across all platforms. Including but not limited to:

  • Content creation - Production of creative insights articles through coordination with relevant teams from idea generation to publication.
  • Content planning - Lead planning of content ideas and activities by collaborating with specialist marketing teams to deliver a coherent plan to help achieve regional and strategy business plan objectives. Feed content gaps into team and onwards to CPGG and DLG.
  • Idea generation - Contribute to specialist marketing teams ideas where appropriate, to generate original and high-quality content in the form of articles, films, podcasts, infographics and social posts to meeting business plan objectives.
  • Content distribution - Work in partnership with regional CSAs, PR, social media and mailing teams to ensure our content is being effectively distributed. Collaborate to ensure effective delivery.
  • Analytics - Collaborate with firmwide analytics specialist to build the required reports. Track content with regular reporting and data analysis to measure success against key performance indicators identified during business planning.
  • Deliver high quality output, demonstrating understanding of the requirements of stakeholders. Capable of peer checking others work.
  • Maintain a network of effective relationships with colleagues at all levels. Works to strengthen relationships.
  • Responsible for training, developing and mentoring new and existing team members, providing general guidance and direction.
  • Ensure clear and accurate tagging and controls within Digital Asset Management tool
  • Contribute ideas, focusing on continuous improvement keeping in mind digital transformation.
  • Maintain knowledge of current regulatory practice.
  • May assist in further department/inter-departmental projects as required
