Job Description


Purpose

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Content Manager to join our growing team and help shape and deploy our rapidly evolving content marketing strategies on both our client-facing and public-facing platforms.

We have been expanding our insight and data offering across multiple services in recent years, and we\xe2\x80\x99re not done yet! We\xe2\x80\x99re passionate about using technology to showcase our market-leading analysis on the energy sector, and we need you\xe2\x80\x99re help to do it.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll report into the Head of Research Operations and work closely with our global research, editorial, design, digital, sales and product development teams. Together, we aim to ensure our client portal and public website are engaging, easy to navigate, and highlight the latest content that can shape investment decisions in a billion-dollar market.

It is essential for the candidate to demonstrate an understanding of how to utilise imagery to support and enhance content, and an understanding of data visualisation would be a big bonus.

Duties

  • Collaborate with the Head of Research Operations, as well as marketing and design teams, to plan and deliver the style and layout of content for our client portal and public website.
  • Ensure that all digital content is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with legal and regulatory requirements (e.g. copyright and data protection).
  • Implement content strategies serving our short and long-term commercial goals.
  • Work with content writers to ensure all content is of high quality and is brand consistent.
  • Work with stakeholders to utilise web metrics to improve the performance of our content.
  • Help to optimise content according to SEO principles.
  • Develop and maintain a calendar to ensure content is published on time.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices and support marketing team with generation of ideas to attract audience\xe2\x80\x99s attention.
Requirements
  • Exceptional collaborative abilities and a positive attitude.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proven work experience in content marketing, content management, or a related field.
  • Strong hands-on experience with MS Office, as well as at least one CMS.
  • Working knowledge/experience of HTML and web publishing.
  • Demonstrable experience of juggling multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • A qualification in marketing, publishing, journalism, or another relevant field(s).
  • Ability to work accurately at speed, prioritising overlapping and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable skills
  • Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics and optimizing content for search engines.
  • Prior experience in the energy, financial, or government sectors.
  • Knowledge of and an interest in global politics, economics and/or business.
