Job Description

We are expanding our events team and looking for a Mandarin and/or Cantonese-speaking event content coordinator to support content development for our global and growing portfolio of legal events.

Chambers and Partners is the leading independent professional legal research company operating across 200 jurisdictions. We deliver detailed rankings and insight into the world's leading lawyers and law firms.

We are hiring a speaker acquisition specialist to play a critical role in shaping our global events program by developing compelling agendas, securing high-calibre speakers, and producing session content that reflects the latest developments in the legal industry.

This role is a part-time, Fixed Term Contract - working 3 days a week for 16 weeks.

This position requires a confident communicator, skilled researcher, and relationship-builder with a passion for delivering impactful thought leadership events.

Main Responsibilities:



The key responsibilities for this position include:

RESEARCH



Carry out market research and audience analysis to define event proposition across assigned legal industry events in regions such as Europe, Asia and South America

SPEAKER ACQUISITION & LIAISON



Identify and communicate with prospective speakers and to engage with them whilst developing the event proposition Liaise with speakers throughout the event production cycle

AGENDA DEVELOPMENT



Assist in writing session descriptions and create compelling written content aligned with the event objectives

SPONSORSHIP MANAGEMENT



Support with sponsor communication on any content related matters to ensure full alignment

COLLABORATION



Work closely with the marketing, research, sponsorship and event operations teams to ensure deliverables are fulfilled to the highest standard

Skills and experience:



This is an entry-level role with no previous event production experience required. A great opportunity to gain valuable experience in event content development in an international environment The role would suit a graduate with an interest in the legal industry and a genuine passion for learning Business proficiency (spoken and written) in Mandarin and/or Cantonese as this role will involve working on a number of events in the GCR and APAC jurisdictions Willing and able to work flexible hours Excellent organisational skills with ability to work to tight deadlines Good communication skills with ability to speak to senior-level executives Strong writing skills with meticulous attention to detail Solution-oriented, innovative and highly collaborative
