A well known transportation organisation is seeking to recruit a Content & Speech Writer for a new contract role to start asap paying 600/day inside IR35, working on a hybrid basis to either be based out of London or York 3 times per week with home working twice per week.
About the role
The Content & Speech Writer will shape the organisation's written voice across reports, speeches, and digital platforms. The role requires creativity, precision, and the ability to translate complex technical and strategic content into accessible, compelling narratives. This is about capturing the organisation's grounded, purposeful tone and supporting our leaders with communications that reflect clarity, authority, and authenticity.
What you'll be doing
We are looking for someone who can:

• Draft speeches, keynote addresses, and briefing notes for senior leaders.
• Write and edit strategic reports and prospectuses.
• Develop website content, digital copy, and thought-leadership articles.
• Shape narratives for government, industry, and public audiences.
• Collaborate with designers and programme leads to ensure consistency across communications.

About you
We are looking for a writer who can generate clarity and resonance in complexity. You will bring:

• Experience in speechwriting, content creation, and strategic communications.
• Proficiency in professional writing and editing tools, with flexibility to adapt to new platforms and publishing systems.
• Ability to capture organisational voice and write with authority and accessibility.
• Strong storytelling and editing skills across formats and audiences.
• Confidence working with senior leaders and stakeholders.
