The role
As a Content Writer at Audley, you'll create action-driven, audience-focused content that supports our multi-channel activity, marketing campaigns, and brand positioning at all stages of the client journey. Your work will span digital and print platforms, including our website, brochures, email newsletters, and Audley Traveller magazine, and target new and repeat audiences.
A key part of this role will involve leveraging AI tools and technologies to generate, refine, and optimise content. Acting as an AI champion for the team, you'll be expected to stay current with developments in AI-assisted writing and pioneer these tools to enhance productivity and performance across all content formats.
Responsibilities include:
write new content or improve existing content across multiple online and offline channels to engage our audience across different stages of the client journey and, ultimately, generate action
source and use AI writing tools to support content creation, ideation, and optimisation, ensuring alignment with brand voice and audience needs
set up and conduct interviews with the sales team for source material and take their words to write inspiring content that reflects our expert, first-hand knowledge
apply best practices in writing for the web, including SEO optimisation and metadata enhancement.

About you
You will have strong experience of writing online and/or offline content and the ability to work to deadlines and turn around content quickly while maintaining high standards of quality. Your excellent time management will allow you to handle a rolling schedule of concurrent briefs.
Additional experience required:
An experienced marketing content writer with excellent written English, spelling, and grammar.
Strong experience in writing marketing content across a range of online and offline channels, applying a brand voice.
An understanding of what makes high-quality content, driven by where it sits in the client journey and the target audiences.
Familiarity with emerging AI technologies and trends in digital content creation.
Very high levels of attention to detail.
Ability to work to deadlines and turn around content quickly while maintaining high standards of quality.
The ability to work within a defined brief and to the company style guide while being able to hit the ground running and work self-sufficiently.
The workload will be varied and moveable, and a flexible attitude is very important.
Experience creating audience-driven marketing content across a range of channels under a brand umbrella, preferably in the travel industry.
Thorough editing and proofing skills.
Proven experience in pioneering AI in a content marketing environment.
A self-starter who can work to tight deadlines when required.
Ability to apply SEO best practices, including metadata optimisation and internal linking, to improve content visibility and performance.
Desirable:
Proven expertise in using AI technology to generate and enhance marketing content.
Although this isn't a travel-writing role and, as such, extensive travel experience isn't required, you should have a passion for travel and a natural enthusiasm for communicating about it.
Ability to use analytics tools to monitor content performance.
