Summary of the position:

As a Content Writer, you'll be responsible for developing client content strategies, creating engaging written content across various platforms, collaborating with other teams, editing and proofreading, conducting SEO research and optimisation, understanding client subject matter, and analysing web traffic.

You'll be responsible for a variety of tasks supported by other team members.

Key Responsibilities of the Position

Multichannel Content Creation:

Responsible for producing high-quality written content across websites, email copy, press releases, blogs, thought leadership pieces, and social media.

Campaign Support:

Collaborate with the digital marketing and design teams to plan and develop content, style, and layout for webpages, paid media and email campaigns, and whitepapers.

AI & Generative Search Strategy:

Assist digital marketing teams in developing client content strategies aligned with AI Search trends, prioritising "answer-first" formatting to secure citations in AI Overviews and LLMs.

E-E-A-T Research:

Conduct in-depth interviews with client subject matter experts to extract unique "Experience" (the first 'E' in E-E-A-T) that AI cannot replicate, such as case studies and original engineering insights.

Content Integrity:

Edit, proofread, and improve creative content to ensure all-around consistency in style, fonts, images, tone, and brand voice.

Competencies and Attitude

Exceptional Writing & Editing:

Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a focus on technical accuracy for manufacturing sectors.

Highly Creative Generation:

A highly creative content writer and talented ideas generator who can adapt tone for diverse B2B audiences.

Technical SEO Literacy:

Good understanding of SEO, Email Marketing, keyword/entity research, and website metrics.

Digital Tool Proficiency:

Good understanding of social media platforms, WordPress, HTML, and web publishing workflows.

Organisational Excellence:

Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with others, but also under your own initiative within time constraints.

Qualifications and Training

Proven Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Digital Content Writer, with a track record in B2B sectors.

Education:

Educated to degree level with a relevant degree in English language, literature, or creative writing (desirable).

Modern Skillset:

Familiarity with AI search behaviours and experience in "Search Everywhere" optimisation strategies.
