As this role involves proactively seeking out stories and interviewing colleagues some occasional travel to our other locations will be required as needed.
As the new Content Writer, you'll:
Source, plan, and deliver compelling content across web pages, news articles, reports, webinars, presentations, research papers, scripts, and brand messaging.
Collaborate with marketing, creative, and subject matter experts to identify topics, investigate stories, and interview contributors.
Act as editor, ensuring a consistent tone of voice and style across all content.
Set and implement style guidelines, offering training and advice to other content creators.
Manage the content calendar and ensure timely delivery of engaging stories.
Contribute to our website and ensure a continuous flow of articles on AIQ.
Skills & experience that will set you up for success in this role:
Proven experience in a journalistic or content editor role, or a degree in English Literature, Journalism, or similar.
Excellent writing, editing, and organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
A journalistic mindset; curious, investigative, and able to find compelling angles.
Ability to make technical subjects accessible and engaging.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; collaborative and able to build relationships.
Experience working to tight deadlines and managing multiple projects.
(Desirable) Experience with PR, working with journalists, and website content management.
(Desirable) Membership of editorial professional associations, such as the Guild of Motoring Writers.

Our standard working hours are
8:30 - 16:30
Monday - Thursday, early finish on Friday -
8:30 - 15:45

How we work
We understand the benefits of remote and in-person collaboration and therefore have a hybrid working model - you'll be expected to work from our office in Thatcham at least
two
days per week.

With an on-site Crash Laboratory, Repair Technology Centre and Training Academy, our research expertise is driving some of the very latest automotive developments in technology, materials and standards in this fast moving and highly technical industry.
Our Gamston facility is one of the UK's leading sites for active safety, trialling and assessing the latest crash avoidance and driver assistance technologies.
