to join our successful Structures division. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team delivering high-profile structural refurbishment projects across the capital. In this role, you'll support the pre-contracts team in developing PQQs and tenders, offering expert input on buildability, health and safety documentation, and tender programming. You'll also be responsible for obtaining key briefing documents to guide design feasibility and ensure outline designs meet client expectations. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Central London.
The duties of the Contract Manager role will include:
Collating, distributing and coordinating the handover of pre/tender information to the construction team
Providing up to date budget and programming information at all project key stages
Managing, coordinating, reviewing and ensuring buildability of designs
Ensuring that the project is set up correctly with the appropriate resources allocated for the works i.e. plant, labour, materials and subcontractors, and ensuring works are maintained in accordance with the Structures Works package
Managing and coordinating with the project team ensuring all relevant road space applications, permits and approvals are in place and maintained throughout the works duration
Reviewing and ensuring compliance with subcontractor pre-start meetings, minutes and documentation prior to commencement on site
Drafting, coordinating and reviewing subcontract contract documents with the project Quantity Surveyor and internal commercial/contract team
What skills and experience do you need?
We are seeking a professional and results-driven
Contract Manager
with proven experience in structures, bridges, and highways infrastructure within an operational setting. You will be confident in client-facing roles and have a solid background working under NEC or JCT contract frameworks. A strong grasp of resource planning, cost and value management, stakeholder engagement, and design coordination is essential. To be considered, you should hold a degree or an equivalent construction-related qualification such as an NVQ Level 6, HNC, or HND. As the role will require travel to various company sites, a full UK driving licence is essential.
