Job Description


Our Client is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join our Structural Maintenance and Waterproofing Division. In this role, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality projects nationwide, managing teams of directly employed NVQ-qualified workforce while ensuring excellent customer service and the achievement of budgeted profit margins. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of project management activities, from initial planning and resource allocation through to completion and financial reconciliation. This position demands strong organisational skills, technical knowledge of structural maintenance and waterproofing practices, and the ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:



Manage labour resources, including personnel issues, recruitment, training, and team development Oversee plant and stock management to ensure efficient resource utilisation Create and maintain efficient project programming and scheduling Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and conduct site safety audits Monitor and control project costs to achieve or exceed budgeted profit margins Conduct regular site visits and technical assessments Prepare accurate estimates and quotations for new opportunities Lead site and technical meetings with internal teams and clients Attend pre-order meetings and provide technical guidance and solutions to customers Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the structural maintenance and waterproofing sector

Candidate Profile


We are looking for candidates who combine professional project management expertise with a genuine passion for delivering results in the construction sector. You should be a disciplined, well-organised individual with proven experience in either concrete repair, concrete condition surveys, industrial and commercial leak-sealing, or structural maintenance. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable managing a team of skilled tradespeople as they are engaging with clients and senior stakeholders. Whether you are a recently qualified graduate with solid construction industry experience or a seasoned professional, you must demonstrate the ability to balance operational excellence with commercial acumen.

Experience & Expertise Required:



Proven experience in contract or project management within the construction industry Knowledge of concrete repair, concrete condition surveys, industrial and commercial leak-sealing, or structural maintenance practices Experience managing teams of skilled, qualified workforce Strong estimating and cost control capabilities Excellent IT skills and proficiency with project management tools Relevant Health and Safety certification (SMSTS, NEBOSH, or equivalent)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 45,000.00-50,000.00 per year
