What You'll Do:
As our Contract Officer, you will play a vital role in the Investment Team, responsible for:
  • Leading various investment projects from pre-tender procurement to final handover.
  • Preparing specifications, managing contracts, and ensuring high-quality workmanship in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Acting as Principal Designer when necessary.
  • Collaborating with external advisors, including architects and engineers, to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare specifications and procure works in line with organisational standing orders.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and manage planning and building control approvals.
  • Engage and consult with leaseholders, ensuring their voices are heard in decisions impacting their homes.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenditure, approving invoices as per financial policies.
What We're Looking For:
To thrive in this role, you should have:
  • A strong understanding of the construction industry and detailed knowledge of building regulations.
  • Experience in managing budgets and delivering projects on time.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • A professional qualification in building maintenance or construction (e.g., RICS, CIOB, RIBA) is preferred.
Your Skills:
  • Ability to write concise and persuasive reports.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a knack for problem-solving.
  • A full driving licence and your own vehicle are essential.
