We are seeking a motivated Contract Supervisor (Grounds Maintenance) to lead the day-to-day management of greenspaces throughout the Lake District Westmorland Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of grounds maintenance operations ensuring all activities are delivered in line with contract specifications and meet the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency. Requirements
Proven experience in Contract Supervisor roles with demonstrated expertise in grounds maintenance or transferable sector experience
Ensure compliance with company health and safety regulations to promote good culture and a safe and risk-free working environment.
Overseeing designated teams of staff across various locations
Deliver staff safety briefings and safety audits.
Ensure completed works are recorded in line with contract requirements.
To provide a front-line presence and good company image to the public, the client and third parties.
To deputise for line management teams during periods of annual leave and other absence.
To attend various training courses relating to the role.
Cemetery experience beneficial but not essential (COTS training can be provided if required)
A full valid UK driving license is essential for the daily role & to ensure that excavator training can be provided (if not already held)
Strong Communication & IT Literacy skills
