Jacksons Fencing is a family business that was established in 1947. Set in the heart of the Kent countryside, Jacksons' mission from the outset has been to deliver outstanding quality across every aspect of the business. Across three sites we employ over 290 people in the design, manufacture and installation of timber and steel fencing and gates.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working and motivated person to join our busy contracts team.

Overview of position



This is a critical support role within the busy contracts division, providing proactive response to the varying and often demanding Customer needs. The role requires good attention to detail, flexibility and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills together with persistence and resilience, are key success drivers. An ability to think quickly and clearly will be required.

A good all round education and strong computer skills are crucial to carrying out duties efficiently and effectively. Excellent administration skills will be required to ensure the full and proper maintenance of all aspects of the departments systems.

The role is customer led and the success is measured by meeting their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction. Jacksons uphold a strong ethos for not just producing quality products, but also the service we provide. This will require working to tight deadlines to achieve this goal.

Duties



Scheduling and engaging both subcontractors and employed fencing teams.

Assigning workloads and jobs to appropriate teams

Invoicing labour and closing down jobs, checking all relevant paperwork has been filled appropriately.

Ordering & off hiring plant, and authorising payment of the invoices

Setting the following week, i.e. phoning customers, sending job sheets etc

Organising training

Maintaining the fencers training matrix and insurance database

Archiving and electronic filing

Problem solving - liaising with other departments to resolve site issues.

Raising paperwork for collections, additional materials etc.

Key Responsibilities



Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.

Ensure that all operational and procedural guidelines for I.T./Business systems are followed to protect the data integrity.

Ensure that Company and Statutory Health & Safety requirements are met and maintained at all times.

Be responsible for your own personal safety, act responsibly and respectfully at all times to protect the safety of all colleagues.

Any other ad hoc tasks reasonably requested by your direct line managers or the directors, from time-to-time.

All relevant training will be provided in order for the team member to carry out this role.

Own transport is essential due to remote location



Hours 8:30am - 5:00 pm Monday to Friday



Job Type: Permanent

Pay: From 27,040.00 per year
