We are currently seeking an excellent and suitably experienced
Contracts & Maintenance Manager
to help manage our contracts and maintain our range of temporary accommodations for Cameron Guest House Group and the Place Hotel.
Who we are:
Cameron Guest House Group comprises more than 20 properties, all situated in and around Edinburgh. It is a growing business, family-run, that collaborates directly with the Council of Edinburgh.
The Place Hotel on York Place in Edinburgh has an amazing reputation and status. It is an award winning four-star 47-room boutique townhouse Hotel, in a prominent location close to the cities' theatres, the new St James Quarter and on the tram line. With a purpose-built Conference & Event space with extensive outdoor terrace and banqueting facilities.
The successful applicant will:
have
people management
experience, able to manage a small team of 10-20 employees.
have a strong
maintenance experience
background, with knowledge of one or more trades, able to deal with repairs such as plastering, painting, joining, tiling, etc.
have
administrative compliance experience
, able to deal with contractors, obtaining quotes, surveys and the best value for services.
demonstrate
leadership
within a team and able to
manage the performance
of a maintenance-focused team in a multi-site business.
be able to manage bespoke maintenance requests from the owners of the business.
be knowledgeable in
relevant legislation
surrounding water management L8, fire safety, asbestos safety. Additional knowledge will be advantageous (e.g. BS7671 A1/2/3, PASMA, IOSH, etc.).
possess
certifiable competences
pertaining to maintenance and/or professional trades (e.g. City & Guilds, SVQ, NVQ level ).
be business-savvy, task-driven and committed to achieve organisational goals.
have anti-discriminatory attitude, able to communicate effectively and work inclusively.
provide a culture of safety and fairness, fostering continuous personal and professional development, with willingness to learn and accept new ideas.
work effectively under pressure, meeting timescales and key performance indicators, being tidy and organised.
be able to drive and visit various sites daily, as part of your routine inspections.
What we offer:
This role comes with a salary starting from 38000 per annum, depending on experience. The contract will be full-time, permanent, for 40 hours per week, subject to three months of probation.
