The Role
We are seeking an experienced
Contracts Manager
to join our growing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing multiple steelwork projects from contract award through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
You will work closely with clients, site teams, and internal departments to manage resources effectively, maintain strong relationships, and uphold our reputation for quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the delivery of multiple contracts simultaneously.
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Monitor project progress, budgets, and programme performance.
Lead and support site teams, ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at all times.
Review technical drawings, specifications, and fabrication schedules.
Prepare and manage project documentation, including risk assessments and method statements.
Negotiate contract terms and variations where required.
Report regularly to senior management on project performance and financial status.
About You
Proven experience in
contract management
within the
construction or steel fabrication industry
.
Strong
leadership and management
abilities, with a proactive approach to team motivation and problem-solving.
Excellent
negotiation and communication skills
, both written and verbal.
Proficient in
Microsoft Office Suite
(Word, Excel, Outlook, Project).
Highly organised with strong
attention to detail
and
time management
.
Understanding of
health and safety legislation
and its application in construction environments.
Familiarity with
contract management software or IT systems
is advantageous.
A
valid UK driving licence
is preferred, as travel between sites may be required.
