EQUANS are recruiting for a Contracts Manager R&M to be based in Seaham. This is a permanent full-time role working 38.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, car allowance, bonus and benefits package.
General Overview
The Contracts Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of the responsive projects to clients, ensuring timely of completion of jobs to programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards meeting the KPIs set by the clients. Initially the role will Manage the Anchor responsive works undertaken by ARPS. This will then progress into building on that success and look to deliver for other clients. The role is accountable for managing multiple clients, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
The Contracts Manager has a significant impact on the company's reputation, financial performance, and customer satisfaction. As a middle manager, this role is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of multiple projects simultaneously, which directly affects the company's revenue growth and client satisfaction. The role requires strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities
Manage and deliver of responsive works and meeting all client KPIs as set out in the contract including the SV commitments. Ensuring all outputs are achieved as per plan.
Coordinate with project teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient delivery of projects.
Develop and manage project schedules, resource plans, and budgets to ensure successful project outcomes.
Identify and mitigate risks and implement corrective actions to ensure project delivery.
Communicate with clients, project stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
Conduct regular project monitoring and reporting to ensure project performance is on track.
Implement quality control measures to ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure long-term business opportunities.
Manage exclusions from the PPP contract efficiently

Who are we looking for?
Qualifications or Required Experience:
Essential:
Demonstrable experience in construction project management or a related field
Formal qualifications in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
Master's degree in construction management or a related field
Professional certification (e.g., PRINCE2, APMP)
Experience working in a UK-based construction company.
Familiarity with construction industry software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
