Job Description

Kingfisher Developments (Wales) Ltd are a long established Main Contractor whose main discipline is refurbishment and new build Social Housing. Our area of operation is predominantly South Wales and we have a secured workload for 2025/2026 including housing developments in Caerphilly, Newport, Merthyr Tydfil and the Vale of Glamorgan.

Due to our current workload, we are looking to expand the team.

The Role Purpose



Contracts management



Formulating plans and project timelines Supervising construction timetables Resolving any site issues alongside site managers Programme planning - Plan projects and ensure they are programmed to a level of detail necessary for the site team to deliver the scheme without delays. o Ensure weekly review of progress, forward planning is carried out, and programmes are in place. Participating in on-site meetings to oversee advancement. Chair and attend internal and external meetings and ensure the production of accurate records of any discussions and actions. Reviewing and approving all project documentation. Serving as a primary liaison for clients, site personnel, and site managers Subcontractor engagement - organise pre-start meetings and project launch. Resolve any subcontractor issues that occurs either before, during or after the commencement of the contract. Ensuring quality of the works on site including periodic quality management checks o Overseeing progress meetings including reporting on programme and delays o Producing and amending programmes in conjunction with site manager Visiting site to assess minor works variations. Tracking and providing client updates on snagging and defects o Involvement with site set ups alongside site managers. Allocation of resources and manpower including recruitment Monitoring and recording on hire and owned equipment Pre handover quality checks and final snags with site managers
Health and Safety:-

By example, set the highest possible standards of leadership in promotion of HS&E procedures and best practice, ensuring compliance with Company procedures and legal obligations. Allocate HS&E responsibilities and duties for site personnel, check understanding and organise training as necessary including liaising with external H&S advisor. Ensuring all site H&S paperwork is compliant and assisting where necessary. Implement the risk management process, review risk register and check risk controls. Assisting and booking training for employees - working with compliance manager to ensure all training is up to date.

Operating both on-site and within office premises.

Experience



All levels will be considered however ideally you should -

Experience of social housing (new build and refurbishment) Relevant HNC, Diploma, ILM or equivalent in Construction or related discipline Excellent Microsoft Office skills Strong communication and negotiation skills Self-motivation and drive

Salary: Negotiable dependent on experience.

Pay: 50,000.00-55,000.00 per year
