Summary



We are currently looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join our Insurance Repair team. This is an exciting opportunity within a growing, multi-faceted construction company based in Caprenders Park, Watford, Hertfordshire.

You will be responsible for facilitating the start of works and engaging trades/sub-contractors. You will be working closely with other Contracts Managers and will be supported by admin staff whilst you appoint trades to complete various insurance repair projects. You will be undertaking and arranging pre-start meetings, health and safety documentation (RAMS and Construction Phase Plans) and overseeing the works through to completion. The works will be general peril and subsidence. Ideally you will have insurance repair knowledge or experience however, this is not essential. A Proven track record of successfully running jobs, overseeing works, communicating with sub-contractors and delivering projects within allocated time frames whilst achieving targeted profit margins is essential.

A company vehicle or car allowance will be offered.

Candidates require the following:-



Excellent communication skills - written and verbal Ability to demonstrate empathy In depth knowledge of building construction and defect recognition/correction Knowledge of party wall and CDM (Construction Design Management) and competent at enforcing and monitoring on site health & safety practices Knowledge of building insurance preferred IT literate, in particular MS Word, Excel and Outlook 365 Experience in preparing works orders, purchase orders and issuing to sub-contractors Strong experience with negotiating prices with sub-contractors A proven track record in project management and cost control Preparation of contract programme & progress reports Experience in managing directly employed trade operatives and specialist sub-contractors Experience in formulating valuations and final accounts, including job profitability reporting Ability to deliver an outstanding service Ideally have knowledge of provisional sums and budgeting Ambition and desire to progress within a thriving business Passion for customer service and providing a professional service for clients Full UK driving licence

Pay: 40,000.00-50,000.00 per year
