We're delivering a 17m scheme in Worthing combining cut & carve, new build and HRB conversion. We need a Contracts/Construction Manager with a commercial mindset--someone who fuses QS/surveying, cost control and buildability so programme, quality and margin move in lockstep.
What you'll leado Day-to-day leadership of a site team: Senior Site Manager, 2 x Supervisors, and H&S Manager, reporting directly to the Managing Director.o Commercially rigorous delivery: cost control, change/variations, procurement, subcontract administration, valuations, and margin protection.o Programme ownership & planning in ASTA Power project: lookaheads, logic links, critical path, and interface management across cut & carve, HRB conversion and new build.o Quality & compliance: statutory/BC interfaces, ITPs, signoffs, close-out, and aftercare readiness.o Stakeholder management: client, PQS, design consultants, BC, neighbours, and local authority.o Business growth: help expand our supply chain and bring contacts/opportunities to grow the company.
What you'll bringo Minimum 5 years' proven experience running complex 10m+ schemes (HRB/refurb/cut & carve and/or mixed new build).o Strong commercial/QS literacy: budgets, risk, cash flow, procurement strategy, robust change control and final accounts.o ASTA Powerproject proficiency (essential) and disciplined reporting.o End-to-end delivery experience from in the ground to finishes; confident sequencing, temporary works awareness, live-environment planning, and safe delivery.o Track record on total turnkey projects of similar complexity and scale. Knowledge of HRB's and Golden thread / BSR.o Qualifications (minimum): SMSTS, CSCS Black/Gold, 3-Day First Aid, Temporary Works (Coordinator or Supervisor), Scaffold Inspection.o Clear communicator who can chair progress and commercial meetings and represent the company professionally.
