About the Role:
We are an SME based in Southampton looking for a Contracts / Project Manager to oversee public authority construction works for clients such as NHS & Hampshire County contracts. Project values vary from 350k to 5 million.
Salary 50k - 70k depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:
Project planning and coordination:
Develop and maintain project schedules, manage budgets, and ensure all required materials, equipment and resources are available to meet project milestones.
Coordinate with internal tams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Site and staff management:
Oversee daily operations on the construction site, supervising workforce activities and allocating tasks to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, and timelines.
Maintain a productive, safe and well-organised working environment.
Stakeholder communication:
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
Provide regular progress updates, hold coordination meetings, and ensure transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Budget and schedule management:
Monitor project expenditure and progress against planned timelines, reporting performance to senior management.
Identify variances early and implement corrective actions to keep the project on track.
Quality and safety:
Conduct routine quality inspections to verify compliance with project standards and regulatory requirements.
Enforce strict health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all site personnel.
Problem-solving:
Address unexpected challenges promptly, developing practical solutions to minimise delays and maintain workflow.
Contract administration:
Manage and administer contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants, ensuring compliance with agreed terms.
Support procurement activities where needed.
Document review:
Review technical documents, designs, and specifications with architects and engineers to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with project goals.
About You:
Experienced working in live environments such as hospitals, with an understanding of public safety, and operational continuity.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and planning skills.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, managers, and cross-functional teams.
Track record of delivering projects within strict deadlines and budgets.
Knowledge of Procure.
Proficient in Microsoft Project and other project management tools.
