The CMU function plays an integral part in the governance of client and instrument data management to support the various front-to-back processes of the Bank. CMU consists of KYC, Referential Data, Governance, Client On-boarding and Supplier Risk Management. The Referential Data function manages all aspects of legal entity and instrument data lifecycle management and control. The unit is responsible for ensuring that all reference and operational data is made available to support business needs in the fastest and most efficient way possible, whilst applying best in class control mechanisms.

A Data Reconciliation analyst plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of financial and operational data within an organization. Here are some key responsibilities:
Data Reconciliation:
Analyse and reconcile discrepancies between internal records and external statements, such as bank accounts or financial statements
Ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are promptly resolved
Reporting:
Prepare and distribute daily/adhoc/periodic reporting of data and ensure that the breaks are reviewed and narrated appropriately
Generate detailed reports on reconciliation activities, findings, and resolutions for internal review and audit purposes
Process Improvement:
Collaborate with various operational teams to streamline reconciliation processes and improve financial reporting accuracy
Data Analysis:
Utilize reconciliation software and tools to efficiently process large volumes of financial transactions and data
Conduct detailed data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement
Risk Management:
Develop and implement policies and procedures for control failure detection during the reconciliation process to safeguard company assets
What you'll need to be successful
Experience of working in a regulated environment, ideally Financial Services for at least one to two years in financial services back office functions
Experience in Microsoft Excel including VBA, Macro & basic formula, Imatch and/or Alteryx technology tools
Education to Degree level (or equivalent)
Proven interpersonal and relationship building skills and ability to apply to relationships formed across different geographical regions
Proven experience of having thrived in a fast-moving, high-pressured environment
Knowledge, technical skills and expertise
Understanding of risk and control framework and drivers
Banking knowledge
