The Control Manager will support the Operations Manager in ensuring smooth daily operations across the engineering team. This role focuses on maintaining control over engineer onboarding, vehicle readiness, job allocation processes, and rota management, providing essential coordination and quality assurance to keep operations running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Engineer Training and Onboarding
Coordinate new engineer training schedules with senior engineers.
Arrange travel and accommodation, including hotel bookings.
Ensure assigned vans are prepared, roadworthy, MOT-tested, and taxed before handover.
CRM Moderation and Job Sheet Control
Review and validate job information submitted to the in-house CRM system.
Ensure all job sheets include accurate and complete details before approval.
Take payments from customers over the phone.
Maintain data integrity and compliance with internal operating standards.
Engineer Rota Management.
Create and update the engineer work rota to ensure adequate national coverage.
Monitor workloads and assist with adjustments to maintain service efficiency.
Operational Support.
Provide general assistance to the Operations Manager for day-to-day coordination.
Support communication between field engineers and management teams.
Assist with reporting, data checks, and administrative support as needed.
Skills and Experience:
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Experience in operations, coordination, or admin roles (automotive or field services preferred).
Confident using CRM systems or job management software.
Proficient in Microsoft Office or equivalent digital tools.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

This position is a full time position Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
