Our well-established client based in Marton, Near Congleton is looking to recruit for a Control Panel Assembly Operative to start ASAP on a Temporary to Permanent basis.

Job Overview:

The role will entail the building of small to medium-sized control panels, that will primarily be used to control/operate small to medium-sized incineration systems. It is expected that the successful applicant will be able to undertake all aspects of the work involved in the build process albeit with guidance/supervision always on hand.

Details for the role:

• Marking out, drilling, and tapping the panel backplate for mounting cable trunking and DIN rails.
• Marking out and drilling the panel door for mounting push buttons, switches, and other signaling devices
• Mounting all components on the DIN rails and panel back plate
• The main components that will be used will comprise of MCBs, Contractors, Relays, Bases, PLCs, and DIN Rail Terminals.
• Mounting all components on the panel door.
• Wiring all components using mainly single-core cables that need numbering with slip-on markers and then terminating with crimped ferrules
• The wiring will be detailed on a specific schematic wiring diagram that needs to be understood and followed.
• It is expected the successful applicant will provide their own hand tools needed for everyday tasks however all power tools and specialist tools will be provided by the client.

Working Hours:

• The hours can be flexible as can the number of days worked but the normal working hours are 8.00 am to 5.00 pm with 30 minutes lunch break (Monday to Friday)
• Additional overtime can be available if required/requested.
