Control Room Operator

Job Description

We are seeking additional Control Room Operators to work from our head office location. This role involves observing and responding to alarms, alerts, and other indicators, ensuring smooth and safe operations, and coordinating responses to incidents or emergencies as they occur.

Generic duties would include:

Ensuring all staff book on and off shifts. All staff maintain lone worker procedure. Allocation of callouts to mobile response staff. Monitoring of alarm and CCTV activations Continuously observing and analyzing data from various systems, equipment, or processes. Responding to alarms, alerts, and other indicators, taking appropriate action to address issues or incidents. Communicating with relevant personnel, emergency services, or other stakeholders regarding incidents, issues, or operational status. Maintaining detailed records of system status, incidents, and actions taken.
Specific Duties:

CCTV Monitoring:

Watching live and recorded video feeds to monitor activities and identify potential issues.

Emergency Response:

Handling emergency calls, dispatching appropriate resources, and coordinating with other agencies.

Access Control:

Managing access to secure areas using systems like key cards or other ID systems.

Equipment Monitoring:

Tracking the performance of critical equipment.

Incident Management:

Following established procedures to manage and resolve incidents, such as accidents or security breaches.

System Operation:

Operating and controlling various systems.

Customer Service:

Providing customer service to those who contact the control room, including providing information or assistance.
Essential Skills:

Attention to Detail:

The ability to carefully observe and analyze information from multiple sources.

Communication Skills:

The ability to clearly and effectively communicate with others, both verbally and in writing.

Problem-Solving Skills:

The ability to quickly assess situations and determine appropriate solutions.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in using various PC software and Apps , including Microsoft 365, Excel, word .

Calmness Under Pressure:

The ability to remain calm and composed during emergencies or stressful situations.
Qualifications/ experience required:

GCSE or equivalent qualifications industry related qualifications (First Aid at work, fire marshal etc) SIA license Full UK Driving license Minimum of 1 years security industry experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
