We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience with various control systems. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing control solutions for our projects, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. The successful applicant will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
Design and develop control systems using logic controllers to meet project specifications.
Create and interpret electrical schematics and layouts using AutoCAD and MicroStation.
Collaborate with other engineers to integrate control systems into existing infrastructure.
Conduct testing and troubleshooting of control systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Utilise programming languages such as Allen Bradley and Siemens for automation tasks related to controls engineering.
Provide support for the installation and commissioning of control systems on-site.
Document all engineering processes, including design changes and system updates.
Assist in the training of personnel on new systems and technologies.
Requirements
HND or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Proficiency in using logic controllers and understanding their applications in industrial settings.
Experience with CAD software, specifically AutoCAD and for creating schematics.
Familiarity with soldering techniques for electronic components is advantageous.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems effectively.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders effectively.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to quality engineering practices.
