Control Systems Engineer
Job Description
Korvus Technology sells and manufactures highly modular thin film deposition systems. The systems are employed in academic and industry settings to advance research into novel thin film materials.
Thanks to continued growth Korvus are looking to expand their team with new talent. As part of this we have a vacancy for a Control Systems Engineer. This is a varied role which will involve maintaining existing software, customising software for specific customer requirements and creating new software as the product range grows. The role will also include production support and involvement in R&D projects.
Key Duties:
Maintaining existing PC software
Maintaining PLC software
Creating system schematics for production systems
Reviewing interlock design to ensure system and user safety
Creating and maintaining documentation for software changes
Fault finding
Providing input and advice to the sales team
Work with test and installation team to ensure FAT documentation kept up to date
Supporting the R&D department to enable New Product Development
Required skills and characteristics:
Degree in science or engineering based subject or equivalent experience
Positive mindset and self-motivated approach to work
Experience with industrial control software
PC software experience (VB.net preferred)
PLC coding experience (Mitsubishi preferred)
Desirable:
Knowledge of PVD vacuum equipment
Experience working with scientific instrumentation
PCB design
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 35,000.00-55,000.00 per year
