  • Work as part of a team to deliver a process that is safe, capable, on time and on budget.
  • Assist with the technical assessment of supplier proposals and drawings.
  • Ensuring equipment complies to International Health and Safety standards.
  • Ensure equipment and process documentation is maintained, organised and stored correctly.
  • Travel to suppliers as part of a team to inspect machines.
  • Assist with commissioning activities, ensuring equipment is safe and meets expectations defined in the commissioning plan.
  • Maintain relationship with component and equipment suppliers.
  • Identify critical spares.
  • Respond to technical issues/breakdowns.
  • Lead response to any PLC related issues and be responsible for machine software.
  • Suggest and implement continuous improvement of equipment and processes.
  • Always maintain a high standard of 5S and cleanliness.
  • Support open facility visits and tours.
  • Assist with \xe2\x80\x98Campaign\xe2\x80\x99 development and implementation.
  • Maintain equipment documentation and software backups.
  • Support operations with specialist technical advice.


Qualifications
  • Have a strong understanding of control systems design, testing & commissioning processes.
  • Previous experience and expertise in the specification, delivery, installation and launch of Controls Systems
  • Understanding of machinery safety legislation and standards
  • Relevant Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Understanding of machine electrical systems and designs
  • Ability to read engineering drawings. Knowledge of different PLC software packages (TIA Portal, GX Works3)
  • Ability to follow, fault find and modify PLC, HMI and SCADA software.
  • Experience of operating and maintaining complex machinery.
  • Understanding of machinery safety legislation and standards
  • Knowledge of IT networks and architectures
