Eventus Legal is looking for an experienced and credible Conveyancing Assistant to provide administrative support to Fee Earners dealing with conveyancing transactions in Purchase, Sales, Leasehold, and Freehold cases. The successful applicant will be joining a well established and award winning legal firm based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. This is a full time, permanent position offering up to 28,000, 24 days annual holidays, an extra day at Christmas and for your birthday, private healthcare, refer and friend scheme, pension, salary sacrifice and travel card loan scheme.


Role Responsibilities:




The incoming Conveyancing Assistant will be responsible for providing support in the following areas:


Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence in a timely and organised manner Drafting straightforward enquiries and responses under the supervision of a Fee Earner Assisting with general conveyancing tasks throughout the transaction process Administering conveyancing files, including daily filing, opening, closing, storage, and retrieval of client files in accordance with departmental procedures Under supervision, undertaking basic fee earner duties such as taking detailed client instructions, drafting routine emails and letters that do not contain legal advice, and managing low complexity files Preparing and submitting SDLT forms, Land Registry applications, and responding to requisitions Handling post completion matters, including lodging Land Registry applications and liaising with HM Revenue & Customs in relation to SDLT Always ensuring strict confidentiality and security of the firm's and client's documentation

Person Specification:




The successful Conveyancing Assistant, based in Leeds, West Yorkshire, will demonstrate outstanding administrative abilities alongside strong written and verbal communication skills. You will have a proactive and dedicated work ethic, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. As a collaborative team player, you will take pride in delivering high quality work while consistently providing first class customer service. Your ability to manage tasks efficiently, support colleagues effectively, and communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders will be central to your success in this role.


Previous experience in conveyancing or a related legal field Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills, providing excellent client care Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
