With offices in Exeter, Teignmouth, and Newton Abbot, Tozers Solicitors LLP is looking for a Conveyancing Assistant to join their team working from their Newton Abbot office on a full-time, permanent basis. We will also consider part-time applicants as part of a job share.

With 30 partners and 190 staff across our offices, we offer unrivalled legal services to businesses and individuals, both locally and nationally.

Whilst this role is primarily office based, we understand the importance of work-life balance and we would be open to offering some flexibility around this that aligns with the needs of the role. Initially, you will be office-based to help you familiarise yourself with the team, our work, and the support available to you.

The Role



As a Conveyancing Assistant, you will support our team of property lawyers in delivering a high-quality and efficient conveyancing service.

Specifically, you will provide proactive legal and administrative support to the fee earners, helping them stay organised and enabling a smooth and effective transaction handling process.

Working right across the conveyancing process from instruction to completion, you will also assist with pre- and post-completion activities, contributing to the delivery of excellent client service at every touchpoint.

Additionally, you will:

- Open, close and archive client files
- Progress cases on relevant IT systems
- Proofread and produce legal documents and correspondence
- Manage incoming telephone and email enquiries from clients and third parties
- Submit Land Registry applications and conduct property searches
- Assist with general administrative tasks to support lawyers across the department

About You



To be considered as a Conveyancing Assistant, you will need:

- Good IT and organisational skills
- The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- A problem-solving attitude and adaptable approach
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

Previous experience in a property-related role would be beneficial to your application.

The closing date for this role is 18th August 2025.
