We are seeking a Legal Assistant to support our busy Conveyancing department.
Education/Skills:
- Previous Conveyancing and Land Registry application experience preferred.
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Organisational and planning skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

General Objectives:
- Support the Conveyancing department with the management of the ongoing caseload by undertaking legal procedures as directed by the Partners and/or Fee Earners.
- Provide an effective, prompt and accurate typing and support service to Partners and/or Fee Earners.
Main Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the Conveyancing department, included but not limited to the following:
1. Filing & scanning
2. Opening new client files and archiving
3. Carrying out Anti money laundering and client bio-metric checks
4. Updating the case management system
5. To comply with all Property legislation, policies & procedures
6. To carry out instructions within the department, on work delegated/ issued by Partners and/or Fee Earners, effectively & efficiently dealing with individual cases/matters for which the post holder has responsibility.
7. Ensure all correspondence and messages (telephone, email & post) are dealt with appropriately & within the required deadlines.
8. Maintain client confidentiality at all times.
9. Ensure that all contacts with clients are dealt with courteously and expeditiously promoting a professional image for the firm.
10. Maintaining records of payments and compose straightforward letters and bills. Liaise with the Accounts Department regarding the payment of disbursements, outstanding accounts etc.
11. Ensure all mail received is distributed and dispatched carefully & quickly and that confidentiality is maintained in accordance to department procedures.
12. Communicate as required with relevant agencies & outside bodies, promoting a favourable image.
Both part-time and full-time applications will be considered.

Pay: 20,820.20-22,000.00 per year
