Overview
We are seeking a Conveyancing Assistant/Legal Secretary with experience in audio typing. The right candidate must be detail-oriented and organised. In this role, you will provide administrative support to our Head of Residential Conveyancing and assist with various tasks related to property transactions. If you have excellent organisational skills and a strong attention to detail, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and completion of legal documents for property transactions
- Conduct research and gather information related to property titles, deeds, and mortgages
- Communicate with clients, estate agents, and other parties involved in the conveyancing process
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and ensure compliance with legal requirements
- Coordinate appointments, meetings, and deadlines
- Handle incoming calls and enquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Perform general clerical duties such as filing, scanning, and data entry
- Utilise LEAP Case Management System
Qualifications
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Proficient in using computerised systems for data entry and record keeping
- Previous experience in an administrative or office support role is preferred
- Ability to type accurately at a reasonable speed
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of conveyancing processes is a plus but not required
