We are seeking an organised and proactive Conveyancing Secretary to join our busy Residential Property team. The role involves supporting fee-earners with all aspects of the conveyancing process, preparing documents, managing correspondence, ordering searches, and assisting with post-completion work. You will be a confident communicator, able to deal professionally with clients, estate agents, and solicitors, and manage multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities
Drafting and preparing legal documents related to property transactions, including contracts and transfer deeds
Managing case files and maintaining accurate records of all correspondence and documentation
Conducting audio typing of legal documents with precision and efficiency
Communicating effectively with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transaction processes
Organising and prioritising workload to meet deadlines using excellent time management skills
Assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and scheduling appointments
Ensuring compliance with legal procedures and company policies throughout all stages of conveyancing work
Experience
Previous administrative experience within a legal or property environment is preferred
Proficiency in audio typing and fast, accurate keyboard skills (typing speed of at least 60 words per minute)
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues
Familiarity with IT systems and Legal software including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
Knowledge of the conveyancing process or legal procedures related to property transactions is advantageous but not essential; relevant training will be provided for the right candidate
