Grey-Smith Legal are seeking a personable, detail-oriented and highly organised Conveyancing Secretary to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a solid background in administrative tasks. As a Secretary, you will be responsible for assisting the fee earner in the legal aspects of property transactions, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and efficiently from start to finish.
Duties
Assist the fee earner in the conveyancing process for residential and commercial property transactions
Typing from dictation
Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transactions
Conduct property searches and due diligence to ensure compliance with legal requirements
Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the conveyancing process
Provide clients with updates on their transaction status and address any queries they may have
Utilise Microsoft Office applications for documentation and communication purposes
Use and update the case management system throughout the transaction
Ensure all tasks are completed within set deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
Requirements
Proven administrative experience in a legal or conveyancing environment is preferred
Proficient in audio typing with excellent typing skills
Strong IT skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office applications effectively
Exceptional organisational skills and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective client interaction
Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all documentation and processes
