The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters, with potential exposure to commercial property transactions. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality legal advice, ensuring compliance, and maintaining excellent client service standards. Key Responsibilities:
Managing a caseload of residential property transactions, including:
Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
Remortgages and transfers of equity
New build transactions
Shared ownership and help-to-buy schemes
Drafting and reviewing contracts, leases, and related documentation.
Carrying out title checks, searches, and due diligence.
Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors.
Ensuring compliance with Land Registry, HMRC (SDLT), mortgage lender requirements, and the firm's internal processes.
Providing excellent client care and maintaining effective communication throughout transactions.
Assisting with developing and promoting the conveyancing department, including networking and business development activities.
Keeping up to date with legal and regulatory changes affecting conveyancing practice.
Key Requirements:
Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (1-3 years PQE).
Proven experience managing a conveyancing caseload independently.
Solid knowledge of residential conveyancing processes and compliance requirements.
Strong attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills.
Excellent client care and communication abilities.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Commercial awareness and an interest in developing business opportunities.
Experience with commercial property is desirable but not essential.
