Key tasks
Communicating with clients to receive instructions and give advice
Drafting official documents, such as contracts which include details of the sale.
Checking contracts on behalf of your clients
Working with estate agents and solicitors
Working with Land Registry documents and title deeds
Carrying out checks prior to drafting contracts to see if there are any structural issues with the property
Dealing with the transfer of mortgage deeds

To comply at all times with relevant professional obligations so far as they relate to the role including those required by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and Financial Conduct Authority.

Candidate Profile
The firm is looking for qualified conveyancing solicitor with a minimum of 3 years PQE. You should be confident self-starter capable of handling a range of transactions. In addition, you:
Should possess the ability to deal with both freehold and leasehold transactions including sales, purchases, new builds, unregistered title and shared ownership
Can work as part of a team
Have a cheerful and friendly disposition
Can demonstrate a strong attention to detail with great organisation skills
Be capable of working under pressure
Have excellent communication skills and confident in the use of standard IT systems (legal case management system, MS Office etc)
