to join the adult services team in Horsham.
You'll play a key role in preparing and delivering balanced, nutritious meals in a busy, purpose-led care environment. From stock control and fridge checks to preparing meals tailored to individual dietary needs, this role goes beyond cooking--it's about care, quality, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook, and serve appetizing, balanced meals
Cater for events and support hot drink services
Follow individual eating guidelines for residents
Perform regular fridge temperature checks and cleaning tasks
Liaise with care staff for stock control and kitchen orders
Adhere to kitchen hygiene and safety protocols
Participate in weekend or evening shifts if required
Skills that makes you the best:
Strong understanding of kitchen operations and culinary techniques.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.
Excellent communication skills to effectively relay information between team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Experience in meal preparation or food preparation within a restaurant setting is advantageous.
A proactive attitude with a willingness to help others in the team.
