We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Cook. This role is essential in ensuring the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals in accordance with food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Duties
Working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern including Bank Holidays, Christmas and new year
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
A good knowledge of dietary needs and requirements is essential
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are prepped and ready for service
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation
Monitor food inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed
Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices
Serve meals to residents in the dining room, ensuring an excellent dining experience
Experience
Previous kitchen experience or culinary training is essential
Demonstrated skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Experience in a restaurant setting is advantageous, particularly in high-volume environments
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated
