Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in meal and food preparation, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that delight our customers while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, ensuring all food is fresh and of high quality. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods. Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety practices. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Participate in menu planning and development, offering creative ideas for new dishes.

Requirements

Proven experience in meal preparation within a restaurant or similar environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required. A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for customers.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 10.00-14.00 per hour
