Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our kitchen team in the role of Cook. This position offers an excellent opportunity become part of a new team and implement your own ideas and processes. The role will include preparation and kitchen operations within a dynamic and supportive environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for meal preparation, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and delivering exceptional service to our customers. Previous experience in a restaurant or catering setting is preferred.

Duties

Food preparation, including chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients for various dishes Cook meals according to specified recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations Prepare ingredients and components for meal service, including portioning and garnishing Support the team during busy periods by serving customers and managing orders efficiently Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for staff and customers Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying management of shortages or expiry dates

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a kitchen environment is advantageous Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is desirable Experience working in a restaurant or catering setting will be considered a plus Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and culinary practices is beneficial Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are essential Good communication skills and a friendly attitude towards colleagues and customers are highly valued
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.26-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 40 per week
