Job Description

Potton House Care Home is located in the market town of Biggleswade in Bedfordshire. Our home offers specialist nursing and dementia support for 24 adults, with 24-hour input from registered nurses. We can also offer end of life/palliative care and respite services. Our home offers a specialised Dementia Plus service, which supports people who have dementia who may have complex support needs. Our goal at Potton House is to provide personalised care, support, and outcomes to the people who live here, in a dignified manner.

As part of the Support Services team, our Cooks provide a high quality service to our service users through the creation, presentation and delivery of meals. Working with a team of Catering Assistants, the successful candidate will assist with the provision of the catering service with particular emphasis on the planning, preparation and cooking of meals.

What we'd like from you:

Basic qualification in food hygiene Level 2 diploma in food hygiene or qualified by previous experience in catering Commitment to delivering a high quality service Excellent organisational capability Effective communication skills Enthusiasm and energy * Flexibility and strong "can do" attitude
