Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a good background in meal preparation and food safety, with a flair for creating delicious dishes in an exciting cafe/restaurant environment. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and presentation of our menu items while maintaining high standards of kitchen hygiene and organisation.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to the restaurant's menu and standards. Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines. Collaborate with kitchen staff and Front of House team to ensure timely service and smooth operations during peak hours. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Cook in a cafe or restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team. Culinary qualifications or certifications are an advantage but not mandatory.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 20,020.00-24,375.00 per year
