Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and standards. Ensure that all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored after use. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes. Provide support in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Serve meals to guests when required, ensuring an exceptional dining experience.

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment. Strong culinary skills with the ability to follow recipes accurately. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight guests.
