Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our 30 bedded residential dementia care home. as a Cook. In this role, you will play a vital part in the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals, ensuring that our residents receive an exceptional dining experience. Your culinary skills and attention to detail will contribute significantly to our restaurant's success.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and of high quality. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Monitor food inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Participate in menu planning and development, offering creative ideas for new dishes. Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use. Provide excellent service by assisting with plating and serving when required.

Qualifications

Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is highly desirable. Strong culinary skills with a passion for food preparation and cooking. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in meal preparation. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new techniques and recipes. Previous experience in a care setting is preferred.
You will be working on a 2 week rota which consists of early and late shifts and also alternative weekends.

Pay: 12.71 per hour
