Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and present meals in accordance with set menus, dietary requirements, and organisational standards
Support meal service across breakfast, lunch, and dinner periods
Ensure food is presented attractively and served at correct temperatures
Maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment in line with food safety and hygiene regulations
Complete and maintain
Safer Food, Better Business
documentation accurately and consistently
Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory management, and report supply requirements to management
Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times
Experience & Skills Required
Previous experience in food preparation or cooking in a similar setting (care home or school experience preferred)
Sound knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen procedures
Experience with meal preparation, kitchen organisation, and basic culinary techniques
Understanding and experience of
modified diets and fluid consistencies
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
A positive, flexible attitude with a passion for delivering high-quality meals
